THE COURSE.

 The ITCQB 01 course is an entry-level program into Project Gecko’s ITCQB system. Oriented around the hybrid, multipurpose application of Limited Penetration room clearing techniques, this course is expressly set to focus on high-threat, resistance-based CQB. Topics of the course range from the anatomy of structures, individual skills, and weapon flow to solo room clearing and two-man tactics (cell).

This course is taught by one of Project Gecko Instructors, who is an active SOF operator.

Description.



This curriculum set its focus on how to work with long weapon system in a confined space. Additionally, approach, entry, internal clearing as well as exiting a room will be a focus in this course. some topics will focus on the entry process, while some will orient around corridor work. The ITCQB methodology of Project Gecko is based on our field experience in the Israeli military, influenced by science and driven by a constantly changing reality of threats. With that being said, we at Project Gecko are committed to teach and develop our CQB system to the highest standards while working along with science-based principles and empirical evidence. STUDENT LEARNING GOALS

The student will….

  • able to identify specific dangers and challenges associated with the urban terrain, precisely inside buildings.

  • Able to manipulate and use his rifle / long platform in confined spaces

  • Able to conduct post engagement protocols

  • Identify targets prior to engagement in accordance to Legal requirement

  • be aware and able to account for the impact of ballistics on the operator and hes environmental safety.

  • Students will become aware on the advantages and disadvantages of Limited Penetration techniques

  • able to distinguish between context, skills, tactics, and appropriate response

  • Students will be able to clear rooms in both defensive or offensive manner

  • can carry out tactical tasks solo, or two man capacities in Center to Cornder Fed rooms

  • Will be learn how to work in corridor to room settings and develop awareness regarding the limitations and opportunities

  • will familiarize with the positional considerations in relation to threat positioning in spaces.

  • will be able to clear rooms with open doors

  • apply different tactical decision-making based on what they learned in Force on force environment.

  • Theoretical lessons in the classroom regarding CQB, the ITQB system, and the common setup of structures and spaces in CQB

  • Weapon flow and individual skill

  • Friendly fire prevention concept

  • Solo CQB basics

  • Cell tactics (two man room clearing)

  • Immediate action drills

  • Two man corridor tactics

*FOF validation drills will be incorporated to validate concepts taught throughout the course.

ACCESS FOR STUDENTS WITHOUT A CAR.

  • It is accessible for those without a car - the nearest train station with airport connections is within walking distance (10 minutes).

  • There are easy train connections to both Bremen and Hamburg.

  • Shopping centers, restaurants, and even pharmacies are within walking distance of 5 to 10 minutes.

  • There are two local gyms. one just across the street and one within a 20 to 30-minute walk.
